Barack Obama elected 44th president

This election was two great moments in one. The first being that finally, after 8 years the American people stood up and said enough is enough. The second being the obvious historical significance of this moment. My mother spent her youth in the segregated South and she said she though that she would never live to see such a day. The look on her face as she held the paper this morning will stay with me for the rest of my life.
